As we get closer to Ignite Raleigh we’ll be making a few announcements about music, featured speakers and other entertainment for you. Today we’re excited to announce Rafe Colburn @rafeco, Director of Technology at Web agency Hesketh.com as a featured presenter.

Rafe Colburn is Director of Technology at Web agency Hesketh.com, where he manages a development team that builds Web applications and content management solutions in Ruby on Rails, PHP, and Java. He’s also worked at a number of other Raleigh technology companies, including Interpath, TogetherSoft, and Alerts.com. Rafe is the author of several computer books on HTML, Perl programming, Web publishing, and CGI programming, including “Special Edition Using SQL,” and “Sams Teach Yourself Web Publishing with HTML and CSS in One Hour a Day”, and is a member of the blogging old guard. His blog, rc3.org, has been around since 1998.
